Create custom images for your blog posts using AI. Describe what you want, and the app generates it. Generated images are automatically uploaded to your Shopify Files, ready to use in any blog post.

How it works

The tool uses AI (powered by Replicate) to generate images from text descriptions. Each image is automatically uploaded to your Shopify Files CDN, so you can insert them into blog posts right away.

Step-by-step guide

Open the tool

Navigate to Tools > AI Image Generator from the app menu.

Write a prompt

In the text area, describe the image you want to create. Be specific about what you want to see.

Good prompts:

• "A flat-lay photo of organic skincare products on a marble surface with green leaves, soft natural lighting"

• "An illustration of a person working from home with a laptop, modern minimalist style, warm colors"

• "A product photo of a leather handbag on a white background, studio lighting, high resolution"

Less effective prompts:

• "A nice picture" (too vague)

• "Product" (not enough detail)

Choose the number of images

Select how many images you want to generate (1 to 4 per request). Generating multiple images with the same prompt gives you variations to choose from.

Generate

Click Generate. The credit cost is shown before you confirm (1 credit per image).

Generation typically takes 10-30 seconds per image. A loading indicator shows progress while images are being created.

Use your images

Once generated, images are automatically uploaded to your Shopify Files. You can:

• View them in the image history below the generator

• Click any image to see it full size

• Copy the Shopify Files link to use in your blog post

• Download images to your device

If you haven't generated any images yet, you'll see: "No images generated yet. Start by describing the image you want to create."

Credits are checked before generation starts. If you don't have enough credits, a modal will prompt you to purchase more.

Tips for better results

• Be descriptive - Include details about style (photo, illustration, watercolor), lighting (natural, studio, dramatic), composition (close-up, wide shot, flat-lay), and mood (warm, minimal, vibrant).

• Mention the use case - Adding context like "for a blog header" or "product lifestyle shot" helps the AI understand the intended format.

• Generate multiple variations - Set the image count to 3 or 4 to get different interpretations of your prompt. You can then pick the best one.

• Iterate on your prompt - If the first result isn't quite right, refine your description and try again. Small changes in wording can produce very different results.

• Match your brand - Include brand-relevant details in your prompt (color palette, style preferences) for more consistent visuals across your blog.

Troubleshooting

Issue	Solution
"Not enough credits"	Purchase additional credits from the subscription page or reduce the number of images.
Image doesn't match the prompt	Try being more specific in your description. Add details about style, colors, and composition.
Generation takes too long	Image generation typically completes within 30 seconds. If it takes longer, refresh the page and try again or you can contact us.
