# AI Writer

AI Writer offers two ways to generate a full blog post:

### Quick mode <a href="#full-mode" id="full-mode"></a>

Generate a blog post instantly with just a text prompt.

1. **Write a prompt:** On the Dashboard, type what you want to write in the prompt box (e.g., "Write a helpful blog post about how to choose the right product for first-time buyers, in a friendly tone with clear headings and a short FAQ").
2. **Add context** *(optional):* Attach additional information to give the AI more to work with:
   * **PDF upload**: Upload a document (product guide, research, brand guidelines) and the AI will use its content as reference.
   * **Product data**: Select a product from your Shopify store — the AI pulls in product details (title, description, features) to write about.
3. **Generate:** Click the send button. The AI creates a full blog post based on your prompt and any attached context.
4. **Review and edit:** You are taken to the blog editor with the generated draft. Edit, add elements, and publish when ready.

#### Recommended blog posts <a href="#recommended-blog-posts" id="recommended-blog-posts"></a>

Below the prompt box, the Dashboard shows **Recommended blog posts** - AI-suggested topic ideas based on your store.&#x20;

Each suggestion includes a post title, search intent, main keyword, and short description. Click **Generate now** on any suggestion to instantly create that post.

#### Step 1. Configure blog post <a href="#step-1-configure-blog-post" id="step-1-configure-blog-post"></a>

Set your content goals and preferences to guide the AI.

| **Length & structure**               | Post length - Standard (1000-1500 words) or other options                                                                                    |

| **Post type**                        | Navigational, Informational, Tutorial, Commercial, or Transactional                                                                          |
| **Special instruction** *(optional)* | Custom directions for the AI (e.g., "Highlight unique product features, mention material and color, keep tone professional and descriptive") |

Click **Continue** to proceed.

#### Step 2. Select outline <a href="#step-2-select-outline" id="step-2-select-outline"></a>

The AI generates a heading outline based on your settings.

1. **Review the outline** - Check the proposed H2/H3 heading structure.
2. **Edit headings** - Rename, reorder, add, or remove headings to match your vision.
3. **Generate images in content** *(optional)* — Check this option to auto-generate one image per H2 section.

Click **Continue** when the outline looks right.

#### Step 3. Generate blog post <a href="#step-3-generate-blog-post" id="step-3-generate-blog-post"></a>

The AI writes the full post based on your settings and outline.

1. **Wait for generation** - The AI creates the complete article. This may take 30-60 seconds depending on length.
2. **Review the post** - You are taken to the blog editor with the generated content.
3. **Edit and refine** - Adjust text, add elements, update images, and fine-tune before publishing.

### Tips for better results <a href="#tips-for-better-results" id="tips-for-better-results"></a>

* **Fill in secondary keywords** - This helps the AI naturally weave related terms into the content.
* **Use special instructions** - The more specific your directions, the more relevant the output. Mention brand voice, product details, or points to emphasize.
* **Customize the outline** - Don't skip Step 2. Rearranging or renaming headings gives you a post that matches your intended structure.
* **Enable image generation** - Saves time if you need section images, but review them afterward for relevance.
